We follow the life of Goong Bok (later named Jang Bo Go) who is a slave at a shipyard and wishes to escape the horrible life of slavery with his close friend Jung Nyeon who is somewhat a stereotypical side-kick character (the I'll-die-for-you-and-follow-you-wherever-you-go type).

As McKeever realized: 'The only way to change the way we think about sharks is to cast the species in an entirely new light, in all of their underwater glory.' He dedicated two years to collecting evidence to make his pro-shark case—visiting the today's top oceanographic research institutions and interviewing leading scientists from the Florida Keys, Australia's Shark Bay and to Seal Island in South Africa, home to the great white.
